New Transformation Pathways for Educators

Course Introduction

Welcome to Transformation Pathways for Educators!

As Educators, we must stay informed about the ever-changing world and how it impacts our role in the classroom. Throughout this three-part curriculum, we will delve into the evolving landscape that influences teachers in all categories of Education. Trends and technologies such as artificial intelligence, shifts in the job market, and emerging job categories are among the topics we explore together. By the conclusion of this curriculum, educators will have the knowledge and tools needed to prepare for the future.

This course consist of 3 online workshops, each of 2 hour duration. You will be working in groups and individually.

Part 1: Artificial Intelligence

In the first part of this curriculum, we will be discussing artificial intelligence (AI) and its impact on the education system. We will explore how AI is being used in education, what skills educators will need to teach in the future, and how to create a curriculum that prepares students for the age of AI. We will also discuss the ethical and moral implications of AI in education.

Part 2: Disruption of the Job Market

The second part of this curriculum will focus on the disruption of the job market and how it affects the role of teachers. We will discuss how automation and AI are changing the job market, what new job categories are emerging, and how educators can prepare students for these new job categories. We will also explore the importance of lifelong learning and how educators can continue to develop their skills in a rapidly changing job market.

Part 3: New Job Categories for Educators

In the final part of this curriculum, we will be discussing new job categories for educators that are emerging in the age of AI and automation. We will explore the skills needed for these new roles, and how educators can prepare themselves for these roles. We will also discuss the importance of collaboration and networking in finding these new job opportunities. We explore the role as Coach, Tech Career Guide, Metaverse Tour Guide, Project Mentor for school projects anchored in local or remote businesses or society.
